\# written by maryna yevsiukova | last published at february 05, 2025 \# # introduction it describes how to log office 365 inbound/outbound e mails as crm activities against a contact/company on the erp since this is an api level integration, no email user login details are stored on the erp and emails are logged in real time if you have the mail sync enabled and, for example, you send a sales order to the client from the system, once the client replies to that email, an activity is logged against this company, contact and sales order you can see one activity with those links (to partner, contact, and sales order) \# please note 1\ the integration will not replace your email client functionality and is meant only to log email conversations that took place 2\ the integration is configured to ignore logging emails from/to recipients with the same domain name as your system user so, business internal communication is excluded from logging \# mail sync setup 1\ click the user icon and select preferences 2 on the general tab, check if the connected state is active (in orange) if it is not connected, see the # to connect your office 365 3\ go to the mail sync tab 4\ in the log emails for these records section, tick checkboxes for the contact types needed to log email communication lead, prospect, customer , and/or supplier 5\ in the sync emails from section, select the mailbox folders needed for the erp system to track emails inbox and/or outbox 6\ click the connect button
